When respondents view other people's comments on a map or proposal tile, they are able to add 'reactions' to comments. Each respondent can only add one reaction to a comment, and can't add a reaction to their own comment. Currently the only 'reaction' is to agree with the comment, however more reactions may be added in the future.
We would suggest treating reactions as an indication of what viewpoints on Commonplace have some momentum behind them. They should not necessarily be treated as a definitive list of the most popular viewpoints, for several reasons:
Not every user will read everyone else's comments - some may only read a few, or none at all
Respondents can share their comments on social media - meaning that sometimes the number of reactions on a comment may simply be a reflection of whether or not someone has an existing network to share their comments with
A purely quantitative number of reactions can't replace the insight you will gain from qualitative analysis of written comments
Agreements will show as a column in the 'Contributions' tab of the dashboard. If the column shows a - it means that the comment has received no agreements.
Columns in the dashboard can be sorted by clicking the arrow next to the column name. By default the column is sorted in ascending order, so you will need to click the arrow a second time to sort in descending order.
This will then show you comments with the most agreements. This can be used in conjunction with other filters - such as filtering to a specific tile to see the comments on that tile with the most agreements, or using the date filter to see the comments with most agreements in a given month.

Agreements can also be used as a filter - by adding a filter where 'agreements' is set to 'is greater than' 0, you can exclude comments without any agreements.
