Following Commonplace’s transparency policy, it is not possible to hide respondents’ answers/comments. However, comments that do not comply with our terms of acceptable use are deleted or edited to remove any inappropriate content. Please also note that anonymous comments (i.e. when the respondent has not verified his/her identity) are saved in the Commonplace dashboard, but are not visible to the public.
Commonplace has also introduced a private version of the platform that allows commenting and viewing content only for those who have a login on a project website. In this case comments are visible to people who are invited to login to the platform and hidden from everyone else.

Commonplace’s transparency policy is for all comments to be visible, provided they do not breach the Terms of Acceptable Use. Respondents’ comments form part of the public archive and basic structure of the website and provide a trusted local provenance for the decision-making process.
The only circumstances where the Commonplace team is allowed to remove comments is when a respondent has not complied with the Commonplace terms of acceptable use. For example, if you notice a comment that needs to be removed due to abusive language please contact customers@commonplace.is and someone from the team will immediately edit or remove the comment for you. The same applies if a comment includes any information that could identify the respondent.
