This article covers the process for creating a new Commonplace project. This is a quick and easy process - simply follow the steps below.
To create a new Commonplace project, follow the steps below:
Open the admin menu in the top right hand corner of the page
Select 'project centre'
In the top right hand corner, select 'new project'
At this point, you can either:
Choose from a template. We have a variety of templates, pre-populated with best practice tiles and questions based on previous successful Commonplaces
Create a custom project. This will create a generic project which you can then customise according to the type of project you're running.
Enter your project details:
Project name
This is the name that appears in the top left hand corner of your project
URL
This will be in the format https://yourprojectname.commonplace.is/. If you'd like to use a custom branded URL, please get in touch with your account manager
Location
This is the central point of your project, expressed in latitude / longitude coordinates
Languages other than English
If you'd like to run a multi-lingual project, you can select from our list of currently supported languages here. Please note, project translation is an add-on service - more information can be found here
Launch and close dates
These dates help us plan for the QA and launch of your project - they're not set in stone, so we won't automatically launch your project when the expected launch date is reached!
Click 'next' to create your project
Once created, your new project will appear in your project centre. You can then build and customise it as you please.
